Meet Betty Lichtenstein, fake “Nurse of the Year”

August 7, 2009 at 3:42 pm (Uncategorized)

File this under nutjob of the day. Betty Lichtenstein allegedly worked for a neurologist, giving injections and handing out medical advice, all without nursing certification. She went on to honor herself as Nurse of the Year, by spending $3K to give a Connecticut Nursing Association dinner, a group that she made up. Uh, why? Like did she really want to be a nurse so bad but failed or was she just wanting to be something she wasn’t? Was it some experiment to see how far she could go before she was caught? I don’t get it…

Model and actress Erin Micklow talks about George Sodini

August 7, 2009 at 2:48 pm (Uncategorized)

Erin Mickow an up and coming actress and model apparently had a run-in with the LA Fitness shooter George Sodini when she was working a dating seminar that he attended at the gym. She described him as nervous, but very studious. Apparently the seminar was put on by dating expert R. Don Steele (see previous post) to help men get over the fear of meeting women. I guess the seminar didn’t do much good, but for this guy, who was way out there, I doubt anything could have helped that nutjob.

LA Fitness Shooter Followed Dating Expert R. Don Steele

August 7, 2009 at 2:20 pm (Uncategorized)

So George Sodini, the LA Fitness shooter that killed three women, injured seven more and killed himself, apparently read books from and attended a seminar put on by R. Don Steele. Apparently it didn’t help much with his dating issues and he was believed to have shot those women and himself over angst of his personal life. Very sad.

Daniel Schuler: My Wife Was No Alcoholic

August 6, 2009 at 8:21 pm (Uncategorized)

Daniel Schuler, the husband of the woman who killed seven people by driving the wrong way, addressed the media about the results of her toxicology tests. He stated that Diane Schuler was not an alcoholic and he’d never seen her drunk since they’d met. He pretty much said that the tests are junk and hinted that a second autopsy may be requested. His attorney went on to say she was a diabetic and could have suffered a stroke, which caused the crash. Whatever caused the crash, it was horrible, killing four kids and three strangers plus her. :(

Sara Morrison Accuses Dr. Phil of Sexual Abuse

August 6, 2009 at 7:39 pm (Uncategorized)

44-year-old mother Sara Morrison has accused Dr. Phil of sexual abuse according to the National Enquirer. She claims she was a patient of his while in college in the 1980s, then was hired as an intern. Dr. Phil would allegedly fondle her repeatedly while she worked at his Texas office and the incident was investigated. That’s where her story ends. Not that I have any love for Dr. Phil, it seems there is a big gap between when the police started the investigation in the 80s and why she’s talking to the tabloids now…

Victoria Beckham Replacing Paula Abdul on American Idol?

August 6, 2009 at 6:31 pm (Uncategorized)

Less than 48 hours after Paula Abdul announced her departure from American Idol, Simon Cowell may have found her replacement. Apparently Victoria Beckham will appear on the upcoming season of Idol, but don’t get those Spice Girls posters out of the closet just yet. It looks, for now, that it’s only a guest spot, worth $260K. I wish I could make that in a year, or five, let alone for one episode of some over-rated craptastic TV show.

Bebe Gloton, the breast-feeding doll

August 6, 2009 at 6:02 pm (Uncategorized)

We all know that breast-feeding is frowned on by Facebook, but I wonder what they think of this doll. Meet Bebe Gloton, a doll from Spain that comes with a child-sized vest. When the doll cries, the child can put on the vest, place the doll’s mouth up to one of the two flowers and it will simulate breast-feeding. The creators claim it promotes education, but US critics are not buying it, calling it sexualization. Who cares?!?
